Accessibility Statement

Making my website accessible to everyone

I want my website to be accessible and easy to use for as many people as possible, regardless of how they access it.

I have designed the website with accessibility in mind and aim to follow recognised accessibility good practice, including the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

What I aim to provide

I aim to make the website:

  • Easy to navigate and understand

  • Usable with a keyboard where possible

  • Compatible with common screen readers and assistive technologies

  • Clear and readable across different screen sizes and devices

  • Designed with appropriate colour contrast and readable typography

  • Provided with alternative text for meaningful images where appropriate

  • Free from unnecessary animations or features that could make the site difficult to use

Product photography and images

Photography is an important part of my website because each piece of woodturning is unique.

I aim to provide meaningful alternative text for important images where appropriate. Decorative images may not require alternative text.

Where an image contains important information about a product, I will aim to make that information available through the surrounding product description as well.

Third-party content

Some parts of the website may rely on third-party services, such as Squarespace, payment providers, maps, social media or other embedded content.

I cannot always control the accessibility of content or services provided by third parties, but I will make reasonable efforts to choose services that support accessibility.

If you have difficulty using the website

If you encounter a page, feature or piece of content that you cannot access or use, please let me know.

I’m happy to provide information in another format or help you access the information you need wherever reasonably possible.

Email: [your email address]

When contacting me, it would be helpful if you could tell me:

  • The page or feature you were trying to use

  • What difficulty you experienced

  • The device or assistive technology you were using, if relevant

Your feedback helps me improve the website.

Ongoing improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing process. I will continue to review the website and make improvements where reasonably possible as the site develops.
